GFWC-OK Northeast District holds annual meeting on Saturday, Nov. 18 in Nowata

Nowata La-Kee-Kon hosted the annual GFWC-OK Northeast District.  The meeting was held at the Nowata Historical Museum and was attended by approximately 27 club members from across the District including members from Pawhuska Heeko, Nowata La-Kee-Kon, Pryor Monday Forum and Tulsa Silver Foxes.

District President, the Honorable Jacqueline Stout, called the meeting to order; La-Kee-Kon member, Becky Bellatti led the flag salute; and, Monday Forum member, Donna Talley, sang the Star-Spangled Banner. MariLeigh Patterson, La-Kee-Kon member, presented the devotional.

Donna Talley performed a beautiful acapella rendition of the Star-Spangled Banner.

Monica Bartling, GFWC-OK State Vice President presented an update on the upcoming October 2024 South Central Region District Meeting in Oklahoma City and talked about the new reporting format and how to use the fillable .PDF forms from the GFWC-OK website.

Club presidents shared many ideas that they had implemented in the past year and talked about creative ways they had volunteered in their communities.

The Done in a Day project provided toiletry items the the women gift wrapped during the convention that were delivered to various local shelters.
