
Monica Bartling, GFWC Oklahoma President 2026-2028 is a 25-year-member of the GFWC-OK Waurika Sorosis Club and a retired newspaper executive who started her own marketing company in 1997 and retired in 2024.
She volunteers for several organizations including acting as the Chairman of the Board for Color Oklahoma a non-profit that helps other organizations and municipalities plant wildflowers across Oklahoma’s highways and other public spaces.
Bartling is a member of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation and proud of her native American roots. She is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a Mass Communications/Advertising degree. A native of Okemah, Oklahoma, she and her husband, Roy, live on a ranch in Waurika, Oklahoma where she enjoys planting native plants, watching wildlife and taking pictures of gorgeous Oklahoma sunrises and sunsets. The theme for her administration is Riding for the GFWC brand. Motto is Riding with Purpose. Leading with Heart.

Secretary, Brenda Calahan Brenda Calahan is a retired educator from McAlester, Oklahoma, who spent much of her career teaching in McAlester Public Schools. In retirement, she enjoys dedicating her time to the causes and activities she is most passionate about, including GFWC, Oklahoma Retired Educators, and political issues. Brenda also cherishes time with her three rescue furbabies and her husband, Don Jones. Benda is an avid Oklahoma State cowboy fan!
