State Convention Saturday morning, April 6, 2024

Saturday’s convention was officially called to order at 10:00 a.m.

when State President, Patty Burkhead, called the meeting to order. The colors were presented by Girl Scout Troop 580 and the Star Spangled Banner was sung by Pryor Clubwoman, Donna Talley.

Brenda Calahan, President, of the McAlester Fortnightly Club gave the thought for the day.

Elizabeth Stephens welcomed the group to the Indian Capital of the Nation. Anadarko is the capital of the Wichita and Affiliated Tribes, the Delaware Nation and the Apache Tribe of Oklahoma.  Elizabeth is member of the Anadarko Philomathic Club.

After the introduction of officers present and past, first time attendees and new members, the credentials report was presented by State Treasurer, Betty Clay and Immediate Past State President, Carroll Craun, from the Nowata, La-Kee-Kon club presented the Rules and Code of Conduct for the convention.  Minutes were previously approved by the minutes review committee and were shared with all attendees.

Betty Clay presented the Treasurer’s Report.
