Anadarko, OK, March 16, 2026 — The GFWC Philomathic Club of Anadarko is preparing the American Heritage Museum for its 90th Anniversary Celebration. The Club began the Museum in August of 1936.
In preparation for the event this August, the club planted wildflower seeds as part of the Celebrate America 250 With Wildflowers program with seeds provided by the Oklahoma Native Plant Society. They were part of the 12 GFWC clubs across Oklahoma that planted two pounds of native to Oklahoma wildflower seeds in public spaces. Color Oklahoma a committee of the Oklahoma Native Plant Society was part of the program.
Also, Anadarko School’s 4-H program is planting wildflowers on US Hwy-62 entering Anadarko as part of the program.
